About Kaiser
Kaiser is a green dog for a handler who wants to do the work themselves. Both parents are IGP3 titled with breed surveys passed, and he has inherited the balance those lines are known for: strong prey and hunt drive, excellent nerve, and a genuinely easy off switch at home.
- Both parents IGP3 with breed surveys passed
- Excellent nerve and instant recovery
- Strong dual reinforcement — food and toy
- Clean slate for protection or detection specialisation
Temperament
Outgoing, biddable and confident. Kaiser approaches novelty with curiosity, recovers instantly from startle, and is neutral with people and dogs. He is a joy to train — high reinforcement value on both food and toy, with a strong desire to work with his handler.
Health
Preliminary hip and elbow radiographs clear; final scoring due at 18 months. DM clear by parentage. Full vaccination record and microchip.
Training
Solid foundation: marker system fully established, attention heel, sit, down and place with duration, restrained recall, crate and vehicle discipline. Drive work in prey with clean outs on tug. No defensive work has been started — deliberately, given his age.
Suitable home
A sport handler, professional in training, or a committed private owner working with a trainer. He would excel in IGP, working trials or detection. Needs daily training and would be wasted in a home without a project.
Frequently asked questions
Could Kaiser become a protection dog?
The genetics and nerve are there. We would recommend beginning defensive work at around twenty months with professional guidance.
