Handler Education

Buying a trained dog without handler education is like buying a race car without learning to drive. Our handler programmes transfer the knowledge that keeps the dog working for a decade.

Core curriculum

Handlers learn the theory and mechanics behind everything the dog has been taught, so they can maintain, troubleshoot and extend the training independently.

Practical skills

Sessions are hands-on. We film handlers working, review the footage, and correct mechanics frame by frame. Small changes in timing and body position routinely produce larger results than any change in method.

For professionals

We deliver bespoke education for security teams, detection operators and kennel staff, including deployment protocol, welfare standards, documentation and continuation training schedules.

Ongoing development

Handling is a skill that decays without practice. Clients have access to monthly group sessions and refresher days so standards are maintained rather than gradually eroded.

Do I need handler education if I buy a trained dog?

Yes. A trained dog transfers to a new handler only when that handler understands the system it was trained in. Handover is included with every dog we place.
