About Rex
Rex is exactly the dog people describe when they say they want a Malinois but rarely find. Powerful and fast in drive, entirely neutral in public, and clear enough in the head to out on a first command from a live decoy. He was sourced at eleven months from a Dutch KNPV programme and has been in structured development with us since.
- Verified out and recall from live decoy
- Full public neutrality — town, transport, café tested
- Hips A/A, elbows 0/0, full DNA panel clear
- Night, vehicle and confined space scenario work completed
Temperament
Confident, socially neutral and deeply engaged with his handler. Rex ignores strangers and dogs completely, settles within two minutes of finishing work, and has been assessed in town centres, transport hubs, cafés and busy car parks without a single reactive incident. He is not a novelty-seeker; he watches, evaluates and returns his attention to the handler.
Health
Hips A/A, elbows 0/0 under FCI scoring. Full DNA panel clear. Cardiac and eye examinations clear. Lean working condition at 32kg, currently on a joint-aware conditioning programme. Full veterinary records and DEFRA-compliant import documentation supplied.
Training
Off-lead obedience to a high standard including heel, remote positions, emergency stop at distance and formal recall. Protection: full-mouth calm grips on sleeve, hidden sleeve and suit, escalation and de-escalation on command, verified out and recall from live decoy work, muzzle work, vehicle exit and guard. Scenario work completed at night, in stairwells and around vehicles.
Suitable home
An experienced handler or professional who will train several times a week and maintain quarterly refreshers. Secure property essential. Suitable for a family home with older children given his neutrality, but he needs a genuine daily job — this is not a dog for a quiet household.
Frequently asked questions

With our handler education programme and a commitment to weekly training, yes — his clarity and neutrality make him unusually manageable for the breed.
Can Rex live indoors with a family?
Yes. He is house-trained, crate-trained and settles completely indoors.
