Who we are
īweriū Working K9 was founded by handlers, not brokers. Our background sits in sport, security and service work, where a dog either performs under pressure or it does not. That experience shapes every decision we make, from which European kennels we work with, to which puppies we keep back for further evaluation, to which clients we politely turn away.
We work with a small, closed circle of breeders in Belgium, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Germany. These are working programmes with decades of verified performance behind them — dogs proven in KNPV, IGP, mondioring and operational service rather than in the show ring. Because we visit these kennels in person and know the parent dogs, we can speak honestly about what a puppy is likely to become.
What we do
We supply working line Belgian Malinois, German Shepherds, Dutch Shepherds and Czech line shepherds to private clients, security operators, sport handlers and family homes that want a serious dog. Alongside placement we deliver structured training programmes covering foundation obedience, drive building, protection work, behavioural rehabilitation and handler education.
Our value is not the dog on its own — it is the dog plus the transfer of knowledge that lets you keep it working. Every placement includes a handover programme, a written development plan, and continued access to us for the life of the dog.

How we are different
The UK market is full of dogs described as 'working line' with no evidence behind the claim. We publish pedigrees, we show working footage of parent dogs, and we will tell you when a dog is wrong for you even when that costs us a sale. A misplaced Malinois damages a family, a dog and a reputation — none of which is worth a deposit.
We also refuse to sell dogs on hype. A protection dog is a serious commitment involving daily engagement, maintenance training, secure housing and insurance. If you want a companion who is stable, biddable and calm in the home, we will steer you towards the dog that fits that brief rather than the flashiest animal in the kennel.
Our standards
Every dog we place is health screened, temperament tested and socialised to a documented standard. We assess nerve strength, environmental confidence, hunt drive, grip quality, recovery after startle, handler focus and social behaviour with people and other dogs. Results are recorded and shared with you before any commitment is made.

Working with us
The process starts with a conversation, not a price list. We want to understand your experience, your environment, your household and what you actually need the dog to do. From there we recommend a specific dog or a breeding, agree a training pathway, and set expectations honestly about timelines and cost.
Most clients wait between two and nine months for the right dog. That wait is deliberate. We would rather you receive the correct animal later than the wrong one now.
